The plateau, formerly known as Haldizen, is now known as Demirkapı Plateau. Demirkapı Plateau is also the origin of Uzungöl. Reaching 3,376 meters, the water flowing into Haldizen Creek from the various glacial lakes around its 3,376-meter peak flows into Uzungol. To reach Demirkapı Plateau, you need to cross a 12-kilometer stabilized forest road from Uzungol.
The cool and clean air gets a wonderful view when the fog falls. You can stay in the wooden houses next to the bubbling streams or you can set up a tent. We recommend that you continue 5 km further from Demirkapı Plateau and do not forget to visit the uniquely beautiful Aygır crater lake.
SULTAN MURAT YAYLASI
Sultan Murat Plateau is one of the most memorable plateaus of Trabzon. Sultan Murat Plateau, where you will witness every shade of green, is within the borders of Çaykara. You can reach the plateau from Çaykara via a 25-kilometer dirt road.
It is said that; When Murat IV returned from the Iranian Expedition in 1635, he performed Friday prayers with his army on this plateau and stayed here. For this reason, this plateau was named Sultan Murat. There is also a martyrdom of the Ottoman army in Sultan Murat Plateau. There are the graves of an officer and 70 soldiers in the martyrdom. You can find electricity, toilet and drinking water in the plateau.

HAMSİKÖY
